POSITION TITLE: COVER PREP LEAD

REPORTS TO: Art and Covers Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform routine duties under general supervision to provide administrative support in preparation of covers. Perform other similar or related duties as directed.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Essential Functions

1. Receive cover materials and verify all needed materials are included, and notify customer service representatives or customer of discrepancies.
2. Review cover specification form to determine if job is capable of being produced and to look for conflicting information.
3. Enter cover information into computer to prepare cover orders and tickets utilizing information received from customer.
4. Enter preliminary, final, and replacement supplement cover orders into computer, any subsequent changes need to be communicated to appropriate departments.
5. Serve as primary information source for the Sales Reps, CSR's and Marketing on covers and production.
6. Track deadlines through the 30-30-30-10 report and obtain information needed to meet schedules.
7. Maintain file copy and duplicate documents upon receipt and provide to appropriate sections.
8. Communicate to Supervisor on a daily basis any issues that need to be addressed to keep the department running smoothly.
9. Discuss with Supervisor ways to improve the department. (I.E. workflow, personnel duties, etc.)
10. Order and maintain supplies for Cover and Endsheet Prep. Order supplies for the Art Department.

Marginal Functions

Clean and maintain workspace and equipment.
