Director of Merchandising (DMM) – Tools/Hardware/AG Products

Responsibilities:

• Research market trends, consumer behaviors and competitors
• Identify new product and vendors/suppliers
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms
• Work closely with vendors building strong partnerships
• Partner with team members to drive business and identify opportunities
• Prepare and deliver product presentations

Requirements:

• Experience 5 + years' experience in retail buying within multiple hardlines categories
• Experienced managing relationships with multiple vendor partners
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop and maintain effective business relationships
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized
