Senior BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) Sector is currently seeking a Financial Analyst Senior, to add to the Material & Inventory Management (MIM) Finance Team. The candidate selected for this position will be supporting a cross functional team responsible for maintaining compliance to our Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS). This candidate will be responsible for inventory controls, reporting, and audits of over $1B of inventory, while engaging with multiple sites, functions, and program teams across the sector. This unique position gives an opportunity to see how BAE Systems functions from both a financial and operational perspective.

This role can be performed in a full-time remote format. There will be occasional in-person meetings with programs, sites, or the broader Program Services Tools and Training (PST&T) Team which may require travel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly inventory account reconciliations and disposition variances in a timely manner

  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through the management of forecast releases with finance leadership

  • Analyze financial exposure related to company inventory to ensure sufficient funding is available to support the business

  • Monitor and enhance Inventory Metrics to address risks and opportunities for improvement

  • Utilizing data analysis, develop and implement innovative solutions to increase efficiencies and eliminate non-value add activities

  • Gain exposure to Senior Management through project initiatives such as new tools and processes

  • Provide monthly executive level presentations on Inventory KPI s (Aged Inventory, Project Closeout, Residual Material, etc.), and assist in regular internal and external audits

  • Support Finance, Operations and Program teams through informal and formal trainings and Learning Sessions

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain procedures and their financial impact to the business

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in a related field and 4 years of work experience or equivalent experience

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills Word, Power Point, Excel

  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, process/results oriented

  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written across multiple functions and leadership levels

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiarity with DFAR, FAR, MMAS, and general Inventory policies and procedures

  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills

  • Experience within internal controls, audit and/or accounting

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience formulas (ex: VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF), PivotTables, Filters, etc.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
