Job Overview

The Application Analyst III is primarily responsible for supporting the design and build of the designated application, overseeing the development of workflows, system configurations, change documentation, and operational support. They work independently with minimal supervision, serving as a knowledge resource for Application Analysts I and II. This role includes the installation, upgrades, and configuration of the application, as well as assisting in the coordination of customer support activities.

The Application Analyst III is also tasked with creating and executing test scripts, documenting all test outcomes, and applying advanced troubleshooting skills to support implementation, upgrade, and maintenance initiatives. They address customer or build issues, recommend mitigation plans, and escalate more complex problems beyond their expertise when necessary. Additionally, they provide on-call support for the application during go-live and throughout the ongoing maintenance period, ensuring consistent and reliable system performance.

Required

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Administration Certification and/or Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Administration Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to support and develop the application and mentor others
  • Previous experience working with specified customer base
  • Ability to handle moderate complexity of work with minimal supervision

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • Preferred 5+ years prior system build experience
  • Epic Professional Billing Administration Certification and/or Epic Resolute Professional Billing Claims and Remittance Administration Certification

Scheduling Requirements

  • Full Time - Day Shift
  • Remote - with required onsite presence once per quarter

Responsibilities

  • Executing Application Design and Build
  • Designing and building the related application
  • Coordinating the applications capabilities and workflows
  • Utilizing external resources for best practice builds and solutions
  • Reviewing Foundation Build and operational content and workflows
  • Investigating, documenting, and evaluating current state workflows and offering solutions
  • Building data fields, screens, templates, and customer-defined functionality
  • Collaborating with training teams to align training with system build
  • Overseeing and/or performing analysis of necessary application modifications
  • Following build standards and aligning environments with the environment team
  • Working with minimal supervision and guiding Analyst I and II
  • Supporting Change Readiness demos and documentation
  • Providing go-live support and on-call support during go-live and post go-live
  • Representing the application in Integrated Area Workgroups
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
  • Collaborating with customers and informatics on enhancement requirements
  • Documenting system modifications and updates
  • Handling complex issues and problem solving within scope
  • Sharing knowledge and acting as a preceptor for staff
  • Ensuring ticket resolution details are documented
  • Maintaining version control of workflows and decisions tracker
  • Managing smaller to medium scale builds and change control processes
  • Communicating with supervisors on escalations
  • Developing test scripts and ensuring compatibility with upgrades
