Title: Staff Accountant/Power Settlements Lead

Pay Range:$135,000 Per Year

Job Description:
Join our team in a hybrid role based in Houston, TX as a full-time professional responsible for maintaining financial integrity and providing strategic support within the finance department.
You will collaborate with multiple teams to support accounting and power settlements analysis, utilizing advanced accounting software and financial reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, invoicing, and month-end close processes.
Assist in developing and optimizing financial software functionality to support company growth.
Prepare monthly financial reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Establish a Back Office function to support power market settlements and regulatory reporting.
Analyze and settle short-term transactions in the power market.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting.
5 years' experience in general accounting.
3 years' experience with power settlements in ISO markets.
Proficient with enterprise resource planning systems and settlement software.
Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
