Position Responsibilities:
Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on ASC 606 revenue recognition, including contract review, performance obligations, variable consideration, pricing analysis, and revenue timing
Own revenue recognition models, schedules, journal entries, and technical accounting documentation to support audits, diligence, and internal controls
Lead inventory accounting across physical and hybrid offerings, including valuation, costing, reserves, obsolescence, and COGS accuracy
Partner with external auditors and accounting advisors and manage outsourced accountants and internal AR/AP staff
Build and maintain advanced Excel-based financial models, including integrated P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet models
Own bottoms-up forecasting, rolling forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning with scenario and sensitivity analysis
Perform variance analysis and produce executive-ready financial summaries directly from Excel models
Translate accounting and operational drivers into clear, decision-ready insights for the CFO and executive team
Support month-end and quarter-end close with a focus on revenue, inventory, and COGS accuracy
Own reconciliations and tie-outs across Excel models, sub-ledgers, operational data, and the general ledger
Improve financial processes, controls, and modeling discipline to ensure accuracy, scalability, and auditability
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product, and Legal to ensure financial alignment
Experience & Skills: Required Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA & CFA strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience across technical accounting and financial planning & analysis, with demonstrated success in both accounting & finance roles.
Prior Senior Manager level role a must.
Deep, hands-on expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Strong experience with inventory accounting in product, SaaS + hardware, or mixed-revenue environments.
Advanced Excel skills, including building complex financial models from scratch (integrated statements, scenario modeling, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis).
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience working directly with auditors.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Experience in high-growth, multi-entity, or complex environments.
Background in both public accounting and industry, big 4 strongly preferred.
Exposure to M&A integration, due diligence, or capital raises.
Experience with modern accounting systems and FP&A tools, with Excel as the primary modeling engine.
Prior systems implementation experience.
