The Job:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be part of our Data & Analytics team working as a hybrid employee (if within 1 hour commute of a SBD facility, the position can be remote if you are outside the 1-hour commute.) You'll get to:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and understand business problems, objectives, and requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive data preparation plans to ensure data needs and gaps are understood and accepted.
  • Design visualization plans to effectively communicate insights and support business decision-making.
  • Support analytic product development by performing data and dashboard validation using tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL to uncover trends, patterns, and inconsistencies.
  • Document business requirements, technical specifications, and project deliverables with clarity and precision.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Maintain and monitor task/project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) for the analytics team.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements and data-driven strategies to enhance business outcomes, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and best practices for data management.
  • Work with stakeholders to create and implement demos and training across the organization.
  • Apply knowledge of data governance, Agile methodologies, and project management tools to drive successful analytics initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Snowflake and SQL for data extraction, manipulation, validation, and analysis, plus familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights, and to assess analytics workflows for improvement opportunities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Critical and creative thinking skills for solving business problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with business and technical teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage communications, documentation, and information transfer across teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptability and a collaborative spirit.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a related role within a consumer products organization or similar industry.
  • Experience with consumer products industry data and analytics is a plus.

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $90,000 - $126,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
