Utility Maintenance Technician
Fresno, CA
Pay: $21.84/hour
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
2 weeks could go longer

We are seeking a dependable Utility Maintenance Technician to support facility upkeep, repairs, and safety compliance within a fast-paced production environment. This hands-on role is essential to keeping the building, utilities, and surrounding areas operating safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general building repairs including walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows
  
• Prepare and paint surfaces; complete minor remodeling such as tile work
  
• Handle basic electrical tasks (installing outlets, lighting, minor repairs)
  
• Perform plumbing maintenance including unclogging drains, repairing leaks (water, air, gas), and replacing restroom components
  
• Repair roof leaks and maintain building fixtures
  
• Maintain restrooms, water fountains, and other building utilities
  
• Complete work orders, inspections, and AIB checklist items as assigned
  
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) and all company safety procedures
  
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas
  
• Support groundskeeping maintenance when needed
  
• Assist in training new team members
  
• Provide suggestions to improve processes and department efficiency

Compliance & Safety Requirements:

• Follow all Company, GMP, food safety, and safety policies
  
• Ensure compliance with Preventive Controls and AIB Gold Standard requirements
  
• Support quality systems and food safety programs
  
• Perform duties in a manner that protects product safety

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or utility repair
  
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and building repair
  
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
