Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a Crane Inspection Supervisor for our client in Cheektowaga, NY 14225. This is a 12 month's contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!

Position Title: Crane Inspection Supervisor
Location: Cheektowaga, NY 14225
Duration: 12 month's
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. 7.5-hour workday with .5-hour unpaid lunch
Mode: Minimum of 3 days on-site
Pay rate: Fixed or Range where applicable

Project Overview:
The Crane Inspection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing contractors who perform the inspection, maintenance, and certification of all cranes and lifting equipment. This role ensures that all equipment meets regulatory and safety standards and operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or structural engineering, extensive experience with crane operations, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage contractors conducting inspections of cranes and lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Develop and implement inspection schedules, protocols, and checklists for contractors to follow.
  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of inspection reports submitted by contractors.
  • Identify, document, and report any defects or issues with cranes based on contractor reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all inspection records are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors to address any identified issues and oversee the repair and maintenance process.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements related to cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Provide guidance and support to contractors to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards associated with crane operations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and inspections as required.
Required Skills:
  • Experience in crane inspection, maintenance, or a related role.
  • Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., NCCCO, CICB) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of crane operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and software.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites as required.
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
